"As I have mentioned before, the La Grande Vallée bottling from Pat Piuze hails from the finest lieu à dit for villages level bottlings, les Pargues. It is probably my favorite cuvée in his broad lineup of villages Chablis and the 2023 is once again excellent. It offers up a complex nose of pear, apple, chalk, a touch of wet stone minerality, dried flowers and citrus peel. On the palate the wine is deep, crisp and full-bodied, with a lovely core of fruit, good acids and grip, fine balance and a long, complex and nicely precise finish."
