The Vinotek Reserve is a selection from the best, ripest parcel of Zieregg. The wine is fermented and aged in their favorite 700L casks on the lees for 36 months, longer than all of the other bottlings. It's from the ripest site and normally has three to four grams of residual sugar, which still feels dry on the palate but gives the wine extra richness. Extraordinary.

"This incredible Styrian sauvignon blanc has gigantic concentration and chalky freshness. It lifts off and heads straight out of earth’s orbit, but the attraction of the super-steep, coral limestone slope where it was born remains strong and it longs to return there. Instead, it delights us with its beauty and originality. Tons of herbal nuances, but zero conventional aromas for this grape."

"The 2019 Ried Zieregg Vinothek Reserve GSTK is exclusively from the "Sieben Reihen" parcel that hosts old vines on blue-colored chalky marls. Aged for two years in 700-liter oak casks and for 12 months in stainless steel, the unfiltered Sauvignon offers a pure, fresh and rather coolish, slightly reductive and phenolic nose with grapefruit, lime zest and lemon juice as well as limestone aromas. Silky and lush on the palate, this is a tight and intense, salivating and full-bodied wine with body and soul yet a still discreet, though promising character. It's a very elegant, saline and mouth-salivating Sauvignon with lemon bitters and leafy notes on the intense and sustainable finish."
