Mourvèdre from two high-elevation vineyards in the Sierra Foothills - Cedarville and Sumu Kaw. Hank Beckmeyer knows these sites well and produces outstanding single vineyard wines from both. The fruit was foot crushed and whole cluster fermented in open top tanks, and aged in a combination of tanks and barrel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. La Clarine Mourvèdre is always a favorite - medium in weight with plummy red fruit, and a very pretty floral and herbal quality.
