The first vintage from this remarkable site in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Originally planted in 1972 by Carl Stevens, Eola-Spring is positioned in the throat of the Van Duzer corridor which provides ample ventilation to temper the vines throughout the growing season, and intensifies the sharp diurnal effect in the area. The wine was fermented in a mix of 500L and 228L barrels (30% new), and matured for 18-months before bottling. A beautifully balanced Chardonnay - complex and concentrated, while keeping the marked acidity that the Eola-Amity AVA is known for.
