"The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Hautes-Maizières is potentially the greatest of Lachaux's lieu-dit communal bottlings this year, but it will also demand the most patience. Underlying in the glass with aromas of dark berries, plum, rose petals, peonies and cinnamon, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a compact, youthfully introverted core of deep, vibrant fruit framed by chalky structuring tannins."
