Zweigelt (53%) and Blaufränkisch (47%) from the Satori Springs Vineyard, located near Oregon City in the Willamette Valley. This site is dry-farmed without herbicides and is certified LIVE Sustainable. Mike Hinds sources fruit from this vineyard for both Lionesses and Failed Empires. The Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt are grown lower on the slope in Cornelius series silty-loam soils. The two varieties were picked together, fully destemmed, and macerated together for six days. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. 10.6% abv.
