Auten Vineyard, a gently sloping site on the west side of Cayuga Lake, was first planted to Riesling in 1998, with additional vines added in 2001. The grapes for the 2022 Auten Riesling were hand-harvested, crushed, and fermented on skins for approximately 10 days before pressing. The wine was aged on the lees for one year in stainless steel before bottling, unfined/unfiltered.
