The 2023 Dry Gewürztraminer “skin-fermented” wine is a blend of parcels from Bloomer Creek's Auten and Morehouse Road Vineyards. Both sites are located on the west side of Cayuga lake and are planted on Lima soils (silty clay loam). After multiple passes to pick for acidity and ripeness, the various lots were fermented for 7-10 days on skins before pressing. Bloomer's skin-fermented Gewurztraminer is rich and aromatic with a beautiful tannic structure.
