Distilled May 2008/55% ABV/ Sherry Butt/ Water Source- Tamdu Springs/Region- Speyside. Built in 1897 by a group of blenders headed by William Grant. Highlan(now Edrington) purchased it out right in 1898. Tamdu is one of a few distilleries in the modern era to malt all of their own requirements( the others being Springbank and Glen Ord) Edrington mothballed it in 2010 but Ian MacLeod stepped in two years later. Nose-Apples, sour cherries, foliage. Palette- Toffee, raspberries, fine herbs.Finish- Medium length, with lingering cream
