89% Syrah, 8% Carignan, and 3% Mourvèdre. The majority of the fruit comes from two outstanding sites in the Walla Walla Valley - Les Collines and Holy Roller, with the remaining quarter of the blend coming from Olsen and Red Willow Vineyards in the Yakima Valley. The wine was fermented 70% whole cluster with native yeasts before aging for 21 months in neutral French oak puncheons and barrels.
