100% Chenin Blanc from the organically farmed Jurassic Park vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley. Planted in 1978, the ungrafted Jurassic Park Vineyard sits at 335m elevation on sandy, well-drained limestone-laden soils.The site exhibits a great deal of vintage variation, with some years leaning toward the lithe and appley; some towards the exotic; some toward the saline and chalky. However the berries and clusters are consistently small from year-to-year, and low vigor soils lend depth, dimension, and structure to this delicious Chenin Blanc. The wine fermented in stainless without inoculation, and was aged until the following spring in a mix of stainless and neutral French oak barrels.
