After studying communications and American studies at the University of Iowa, I decided to abandon all hopes of a steady income and move to The Big Apple to pursue a career in acting and comedy.  During my time in the "scene" I performed as a standup, improviser, sketch artist and digital creator.  Boy were my pockets not full.  In true cliche fashion, this led me to working in bars and restaurants where I developed a true love and passion for spirits and cocktails. 

To further my dedication to being cliche, I formed a small business during the pandemic in 2020 offering cocktail courses and spirits tastings.  This experience prompted my "ah ha!" moment, in which I realized that working with spirits was my calling. 

Shortly after this I took a position as a retail spirits buyer, and along with moving copious amounts of boxes, I got a comprehensive on-the-job education in all things distilled.  I still consider myself a student, but I have some tidbits of expertise to offer as well.  Now I am so thrilled to join the Bowler team and continue on this wild boozy journey!
