"The domaine's lowest-yielding cuvée in this vintage is the 2020 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Grands Suchots, cropped at a mere six hectoliters per hectare and delivering only two-and-a-half barrels; yet, like the Latricières-Chambertin, remarkably, it avoids any sense of exaggeration or excess. Wafting from the glass with aromas of cassis, dark berries and cherries mingled with vine smoke, rose petals and peonies, it's full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a layered, elegantly muscular profile and a long, resonant finish."
