Riesling Kabinett Trocken Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker 12/1L
Deidesheimer Herrgottsacker is a single vineyard site, southeast facing. Kimich owns 1.5ha in ten little parcels. 10% of the vineyard site is steep, 20% hilly and 70% is flat. The soil varies between sandy loam and loamy sand, mixed with limestone rocks and red sandstone. The name “Herrgottsacker” is probably derived from the word “Gottesacker” which is a former word for cemetery. In 1491 it was the first time that this vineyard name “Herrgottsacker” was named in the town's archive.
This Kimich Dry Kabinett is a liter of the raciest, most energetic and appealingly mineralische Riesling imaginable. The must weight far exceeds Kabinett requirements, but the wine remains light and buoyant. A crisp, quenching, vital dry wine for all uses and occasions.
