The Domaine du Bois de Simon celebrated its 90th birthday in 2019. Christophe Avi, great-grandson of the founder, joined the estate in 1992.  After finishing his degree in oenology and viticulture, Christophe honed his skills cultivating what is called ‘the blood of the Garonne,’ Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, both indigenous to the region. Vines are planted near the Garonne River, where soils range from sandy riverbed to limestone hills in the north. Certified sustainable with biodynamic treatments.

"The 2022 Rose Christophe Avi Agenois opens with a wildly aromatic display: honeyed florals, cherries, crushed nectarines and exotic spices. It's round and pliant, almost oily in texture, with ripe orchard fruits propelled by juicy acidity. This leaves a balanced inner sweetness while deaning up well, with cascading inner florals that resonate."
