Mondeuse from Las Cimas Vineyard in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. The vines at Las Cimas are grown on steep hillsides, over sandy clay loam soils on fractured sandstone, dotted with quartz and schist. This combination of soils, aspects, and microclimates enables an impressive range of varieties to grow here, from Aligoté, Gamay, and Trousseau, to Mondeuse, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. The fruit was foot crushed and fermented with whole-clusters before a 14-month maturation in neutral French oak barrique barrels. 12% abv.
