"The 2023 Chinon Rosé from Domaine Olga Raffault is another lovely example. It comes in at 12.5 percent octane, is a pale salmon color and offers up a lovely bouquet of watermelon, blood orange, rose petals, a nice, delicate touch of spice tones and white soils. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, bright and focused, with lovely depth of fruit, good soil signature, sound framing acids and a long, well balanced and complex finish. This is a touch more vinous in style than the lovely, more ethereal Chinon Rosé from Domaine Baudry, and hence really will be best if served at table, rather than as an apéritif. A fine bottle of Rosé. 2024-2029.
