The Montée de Tonnerre is new to the Julien Brocard line up starting in the 2020 vintage. Julien began converting this site to biodynamic agriculture in 2017 and 2020 is the first year that it was certified biodynamic by Demeter. Montée de Tonnerre is to the right of the valley of the grand crus and Julien considers it the most complete 1er cru, a wine with a perfect convergence of minerality, floral notes, and richness. Fermented and aged in neutrual foudres.

"The 2022 Chablis Montee de Tonnerre ler Cru has a backward nose that demands time to open, revealing subtle scents of beeswax and granite with time. The palate has a very harmonious entry with notes of Clementine and peach. Vibrant and poised with a persistent finish. One of my picks from the domaine this years"
