Producers from Lujan de Cuyo
This is where the Denominacion de Origen Controlada for Malbec production is located, at the foothills of the Andes, more than 1,000 meters above sea level. The vineyards benefit from the continuous cool mountain breezes and more than 300 sunny days per year. These beneficial conditions enable fruit to achieve excellent color and tremendous aromatic concentration. Because it is considered the national birthplace of Malbec, many wineries have established themselves here, and although this is one of the best zones for grapes, it is not the fastest growing due to urbanization.
