Raised in the northernmost reaches of Maine, near the Canadian border, my world was one of snowdrifts, moose and black flies. The world of wine was one I barely knew existed. However, a move to France for undergraduate work in the late nineties was to set the stage for what would become a lifelong passion. Despite an eventual masters degree in French Studies, I was determined to forge a career in the wine industry. Nearly twenty years have passed, and I've been fortunate enough to have spent the majority of my adult life immersed in the work of wine sales and education, including owning a retail shop in Asheville, North Carolina and most recently curating the wine program for a high-end grocer in Portland, Oregon.
I now call the Finger Lakes of upstate New York my home, where I can usually be found working alongside my handsome partner on our 150 year old house, paddling around the lake in a kayak, or planning my next dinner party.
