Quail Run is equal parts Cinsault and Counoise from Naggiar Vineyard in Grass Valley, Sierra Foothills. Aaron and Cara Mockrish farm 12-acres of this site, where the vines are planted on rolling hills rather than the steep rocky slopes of North Yuba, resulting in less tannic structure and an approachable fruit profile at a young age. The fruit was co-fermented, all whole cluster (no carbonic maceration), and macerated for 10 days before aging in tank. 25ppm total SO2 at bottling.
