"Ein Liter Wien" White Blend
Its clever name, translated as, "a liter of Vienna" plays on swapping two letters in German, "Wien" and "wein". This wine is totally different from the common liter of Gruner Veltliner that most are familiar with. It's a combination of second press juice from all of the Gemischter Satz, Gruner Veltliner, and Riesling that Jutta makes, from the five-year old vines of Kosmopolit to the oldest vines planted in the 1950's that make up the most limited single vineyard wines, "Utopie", "Revision", and "Ringelspiel". It's completely unique with an ample body, fruit, freshness, and lifted zippiness. Total production for all of Ambrositsch's wines maxes out at 2,500 cases a year in the best years and there are only a few hundred cases of Ein Liter Wien made each year.
