Sauvignon Blanc 50%, Semillon 50% from Renaissance Vineyard in North Yuba. The white block at the Renaissance Vineyard did not suffer the same level of frost damage as the parcels at the top of the mountain. The location of the slope provided more protection from the frigid wind that caused most of the damage. As a result, it was a great year for the Pearl Thief. The fruit was harvested in multiple passes of the vineyard from August 5 - 23, direct pressed into stainless steel tanks, then barreled down and aged on gross lees for 11 months until bottling.
