Corinto Nero, Nerello Mascalese, and Perricone planted in 1970. 0.4ha plot in Contrada Porri near Valdichiesa, a valley between the two spent volcanoes--Monte dei Porri and Monte Fossa delle Felci.  250m, facing northwest. Sandy silty topsoil over lava rock.  Harvest at the end of August at yields of 35hl/ha. Co-harvest, co-ferment, macerated for 24 hours in underground clay amphorae.  Aging also in clay for a year, then a year in bottle.  Two 750L amphorae produced, 1500 bottles.  12% abv.
