"The 2021 Beaujolais-Villages from Marine Descombes is nicely ripe for the vintage, coming in at an even thirteen percent and bursting from the glass in a vibrant aromatic blend ofblack cherries, sweet cranberries, bonfire, a lovely base of dark soil, sweet stem tones and a top note of peonies. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and focused, with lovely depth at the core,
good soil signature and grip, just a wisp of backend tannin and lovely balance on the long and
complex finish. This is a very good bottle of Beaujolais-Villages, but Mary Taylor always seems
to work with top producers!"
