100% Gamay. For their juicy, quaffable vin de soif Gamay, the Puzelats source organically farmed, hand-harvested fruit around their home estate in the Cher valley in the Touraine; thanks to widespread, devastating frost in the spring of 2016, they had to tap into some Gamay from the southern Beaujolais. Whole-bunch, natural-yeast fermentation, carried out carbonically, with 4 to 6 months of aging in tank. Classified as a VDF, Vin Rouge is Tue-Boeuf's red-wine equivalent of the white P'tit Blanc, the largest of their small production and the easiest-drinking, most playful of the bunch.
