"This is riper yet also remains attractively fresh with its layered array of black pinot fruit liqueur-like scents that are trimmed in hints of violet and lilac. There is fine volume and energy to the relatively robust flavors that are shaped by notably ripe tannins on the firm and youthfully austere finale. This should reward 5 to perhaps as much as 8 years of cellaring."
