A unique blend of Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), Portugieser and Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on deep soils of clay and limestone. The age of the vines is between 9 and 30 years. The grapes were hand-harvested and gently pressed; the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for six months on the lees. Bottling is carried out in May.
The finished wine shines with a fresh, bright pink and smells of cassis, raspberries, strawberries and citrus. It has tangy, juicy fruit on the palate and light body with a modest alcohol of about 11%. It's a terrific food wine with picnics, piquant seafood, Middle Eastern dishes, and all kinds of spicy stuff.
