Very close to Corton Charlemagne, this is a terroir high on the hillside, very steep and made up of clay-limestone marls containing a little sand. It is also a late-ripening terroir which, through its ability to drain, allows the grapes to avoid rot during the last phase of ripening.

Planted in 1961 and 1985 at an elevation of 300 meters and east-facing.

"Reduction. As it almost always is, this is the biggest wine in the range with plenty of size, weight and power to the big-bodied and mineral-driven flavors that possess excellent complexity on the tight, structured and very serious finale. Once again the mouth feel is firm but not hard though make no mistake, this bad boy is expressly intended to cellar for the long-term."
