Vintage Notes from the winery: "A precocious spring led to an early growing cycle. Unfortunately a cold snap set upon the flowering, which took away hopes of good yields. Vines were then hit by hail on the 28th of June the storm fell from Meursault to Corton, lowering yet again the quantity of grapes. We harvested from the 18th to 26th september, with half the normal crop though picking at perfect ripeness. The reds have a great aromatic complexity and silky tannins, whites have freshness and a density. The wines are tasting very well at the moment."

(91-93) points
"(just racked with bentonite): Soil-driven aromas of lemon curd, ginger and crushed stone; much more about terroir than Chardonnay. Plush, fat and deep, with powerful minerality standing in for lowish acidity. This very fleshy, full wine, which took six months to finish its alcoholic fermentation, is almost sweet. Claude de Nicolay planned to bottle it in January."
