Bachelet, Jean-Claude

The majority of the fruit comes from a parcel called Concis du Champs and a small part comes from Les Buttes. It's structured and the most tannic of the reds from the Bachelet brothers. The tannins give support to the dark fruit and floral minerality on the palate. Aged for 24 months in barrel.

"A peppery mix of red and dark cherry displays plenty of earth influence that also characterizes the rich, concentrated and powerful full-bodied flavors that coat the mouth on the rustic but impressively long and complex finale. This moderately firm effort is really quite good and should prove to amply repay a few years of cellaring."
