Red Car is known for their exciting and concentrated wines from California. Their winemaking approach employs both the modern and traditional to achieve the best of both worlds. Yields are low, and although they use oak, it is to enhance the wine’s flavor rather than overwhelm it. Their goal is to accentuate the varietal and let its natural characteristics speak. That means no fining or filtration, the use of natural yeasts, and making sure to achieve balanced ripeness within each grape. Red Car’s Box Car Syrah is grown in Sonoma Coast and has a bold, layered flavor composition.
