Located in the far east of France, between Burgundy and Switzerland, this mountainous region has been sufficiently isolated to have retained a number of unique grape varieties and winemaking traditions. This is the home to Vin Jaune, Vin de Paille and Cerdon de Bugey and such unusual grape varietie as Savagnin and Poulsard.
