Denois, Jean-Louis

This domaine, located high above Roquetaillade, has been designed by Jean-Louis Denois “with a Burgundy eye”. He believes that quality starts in the vineyard by keeping yields low and refusing to use chemical fertilisers. Trellising is high so that the wines produced are perfectly ripened with great concentration. A non-conformist, Jean-Louis Denois continues to challenge appellation regulations.  Originating in the Champagne region and having studied oenology at Beaune, he advises other winemakers in South Africa and the US, as well as producing his own stunning wines.
