Bram was born in the thriving metropolis of Concord, NH but reared in the less thriving, less metropolitan town of Bradford, NH. He grew up in a house situated on the side of a mountain and originally intended to be a ski lodge. He grew up with wood heat, water from an actual well and a slew of animals including Chickens, Dogs, Cats, a Horse, a Pig, Finches, assorted parrots and a variety of other creatures in addition to the wild ones wandering the woods. After scooping ice cream and working on a farm for three years he had exhausted the possibilities of gainful employment in his neck of the woods and decided to wander for a bit. This first took him to northern Michigan and a brief stint of pretending to be a writer. It didn’t pan out and soon he tried Chicago as a musician. Between poverty and a complete lack of financial prospects, Chicago didn’t work out either and he left it (and the greatest apartment he has ever known) behind. Finally he stumbled to New York City which after an initial rough patch, turned out to suit him perfectly. It was through blind luck alone he walked through the doors at Bowler Wine one fine spring day and has been coming back ever since. His favorite wines are Bandol, German Riesling, Red Burgundy (sometimes white) and real California wines but is only very mildly prejudiced and enjoys many other wines as well.
