Wilde Farm

“Readers who have not yet discovered Wilde Farm owe it to themselves to do so, as the wines are endowed with notable distinctiveness and tons of personality.”

– Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Loren and Amy Grossman launched Wilde Farm with the 2012 vintage. They signed on winemaker Pax Mahle to help them achieve their vision of producing small lots of impeccable wines from the best vineyard sources. Mahle, known for his work with Wind Gap and his eponymous winery Pax, has a deft touch in the cellar, producing balanced and elegant wines.

The entire lineup represents some of California’s best sources and, in Pax’s careful hands, some of the finest expression of these sites. Just a few vintages in, Galloni has already called Wilde Farm “… one of the most exciting new projects I have tasted in the last few years.”

It’s exciting to watch a winery come out of the gates with such a promising collection, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they produce next. If the first few vintages are any indication, it’s going to be something great.
