Lar de Ricobao

Lar de Ricobao is a new project located in the Quiroga-Bebei subregion. Because of the fairly limited yearly rainfall and the great weather variations from December to July, this region is classified as one of the driest and hottest Galician regions. Its northern and western mountains block the crossing Atlantic depressions, but do not block the warm Mediterranean air coming through the Sil Valley, creating a unique microclimate. The vineyards are situated at 200-600 meters above sea level with an average vine age of 50 years—with some over 80 years old. All vineyards are farmed sustainably, hand-harvested and fermented naturally. They produce less than 1500 cases annually.
