We are delighted to see a beautiful profile of Foradori in the November, 2017 issue of Decanter.
Christelle Guibert, Decanter's Tasting Director, visited Elisabetta at the winery in the Dolomites and describes her as, "...a key figure in Italian winemaking, who put Trentino and its native grapes on the map."
Guibert's profile is warm and personal, and captures Elisabetta's magnetism. "Meeting Foradori, one is immediately struck by her calm poise, her elegance, charm and intensity. She comes across as friendly with a bohemian-chic look, oozing charisma as if straight out of a Jean-Luc Godard movie," she writes.
Guibert describes a chronology of Elisabetta's tenure helming the winery, including the pivotal turn to biodynamics, which, "...allowed the reconnection with the soil she had been craving. She started with 2ha in 2000, and by 2002 the entire domaine was run biodynamically, and was fully certified by Demeter in 2009."
Elisabetta's son Emilio is interviewed as Guibert explores what the future holds for Foradori; Guibert seems optimistic that Emilio will guide the estate with respect for what Elisabetta has painstakingly built.
The profile concludes wtih Guibert's five Foradori wine recommendations: the Nosiola 2015 (94 pts); the Manzoni Bianco 2016 (93 pts); Morei 2013 (96 pts); Sgarzon 2015 (95 pts) and Teroldego 2015 (92 pts).
